What personal data Musafir Infotech collects, why we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and how you can access, correct or delete it.
Updated 28 Oct 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Musafir Infotech (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you visit our website or use our services. Musafir Infotech is being registered in India. The full legal entity name and registered address will be added here once registration is complete.
We follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and the rules made under it, as they come into force. Under the DPDP Act, you are the “Data Principal” and we are the “Data Fiduciary” for the personal data we decide how to use.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to talk to you and do the work you ask for.
- Contact details: your name, phone or WhatsApp number and email address.
- Business details: your business name, type, town, address, opening hours, products, services and prices.
- Content you give us: photos, logos, product lists, text, videos and other material you send us to use in your marketing.
- Account access: where you ask us to manage your Google Business Profile, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp Business, website or online store, the access or roles you grant to us on those platforms.
- Payment details: records of what you paid and when. Card, UPI or bank details are handled by the payment gateway, not stored by us.
- Website analytics: basic information about how our website is used, such as pages visited, device type, browser and approximate location, to understand what is working.
Why we use it
We use your personal data only for these purposes:
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote.
- To set up and deliver the services you choose, including posting on your pages and managing your listings.
- To send you work for approval, usually on WhatsApp.
- To send invoices, payment reminders and service updates.
- To keep our website and systems secure and working.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.
We do not sell your personal data. We will not use it for a new purpose without telling you and, where the law requires, asking for your consent again.
Your consent
When you contact us, fill a form or start a project with us, we ask for your consent to use your data for the purposes above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before. If you withdraw consent needed to run your service, we may not be able to continue that service.
Who we share data with
We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the business, and only what they need:
- Hosting and website providers that store and serve our website and data.
- Payment gateways, such as Razorpay, once online payments open, to process your payments.
- Software providers, such as Anthropic, that help us prepare drafts of your content.
- Meta, Google and other platforms, when you ask us to run your pages, listings, ads or store on them. What we post there becomes subject to that platform’s own privacy policy.
- Messaging and email tools we use to talk to you, such as WhatsApp and email.
- Professional advisers such as our chartered accountant or lawyer, where needed.
- Government or law enforcement, when the law requires it.
Some of these providers may store data outside India. Where they do, we rely on transfers allowed under Indian law.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become clients: up to 12 months after our last conversation, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Client data and content: for as long as you use our services, and up to 90 days after you leave so we can hand over your files. After that we delete it, except what we must keep.
- Invoices and payment records: for as long as Indian tax and accounting laws require.
- Website analytics: in summary form, for as long as it is useful.
How we protect it
We use reasonable security measures, including strong passwords, two-step login where available, limited access to client accounts, and trusted providers. We ask clients to give us role-based access (for example a page role or manager access) instead of sharing their passwords. No system is completely secure. If a personal data breach happens that affects you, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- Access: ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
- Correction: ask us to correct or complete data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Erasure: ask us to delete your data when it is no longer needed for the purpose you gave it, unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
- Grievance redressal: raise a complaint with us and get a response.
- Nominate a person to use these rights for you in case of death or incapacity.
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will reply within a reasonable time and within any time limit the law sets. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
Requesting deletion
To ask us to delete your data, message or email us with your name, business name and the phone number you used with us. We will confirm once it is done. Some records, like invoices, must be kept by law and will be deleted when that period ends.
Children
Our services are meant for business owners and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Cookies and browser storage
Our website uses your browser’s local storage to remember your light or dark theme preference. This stays on your device and is not sent to us. Our analytics tools may use cookies or similar technology to count visits. You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings. The website will still work, but it may not remember your theme.
Grievance Officer
You can raise any complaint about how we handle your personal data with our Grievance Officer. The name and contact details of the Grievance Officer are being added and will appear here before online payments open. Until then, please use the contact details below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services change or as new rules under the DPDP Act come into force. We will change the date at the top of this page and, for important changes, tell our clients directly.
